Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a General Manager - Delivery Services to lead our delivery operations, ensuring seamless service execution, operational efficiency, commercial efficacy and customer satisfaction.
The General Manager - Delivery Services will oversee the end-to-end delivery network, managing carrier partnerships, optimising fulfillment operations, and ensuring service excellence. This role requires a strategic mindset to scale operations, enhance efficiencies, and drive profitability while maintaining a superior customer experience. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including sales, tech, and operations, to refine our logistics solutions and expand our delivery capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and stakeholders (carrier relationships), providing the conduit for robust discussions and collaborations to achieve optimal business outcomes and solutions.
  • Drive initiatives to expand Skutopia’s delivery capabilities, including new carrier integrations and service enhancements.
  • Oversee all aspects of Skutopia’s delivery services, ensuring high performance across fulfillment, last-mile delivery, and logistics operations.
  • Ensure swift and reliable delivery services to meet customer expectations for speed and timeliness while optimising operational efficiency.
  • Implement strategies and processes to maximise cost-effectiveness across all aspects of delivery operations without compromising service quality.
  • Manage delivery services to achieve and sustain profitability through effective cost management, pricing strategies, and revenue optimisation.
  • Prioritise customer satisfaction and loyalty by providing a seamless, personalised, and delightful delivery experience that exceeds expectations.
  • An extremely close pulse on delivery SLA’s holding partners accountable and being proactive to customers.
  • Drive improvement in business performance through analysis of business intelligence and informed decision-making.
  • Leverage deep expertise in freight forwarding to optimise international shipping operations and cross-border logistics and delivery solutions.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the US/CA/EU/UK courier landscape, including rate structures, service levels, and key players in those markets.
  • Partner with the leadership team, operations, tech, and growth teams in particular to design and implement SKUTOPIA’s delivery services strategy.
