We are seeking a highly experienced General Manager - Operations to lead our operational strategies and drive performance excellence across our Tannochside Operation in Glasgow. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for establishing operational goals, managing resources, and ensuring our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Your leadership will be vital in developing innovative operational strategies that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimise supply chain operations through continuous improvement and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) . You will spearhead initiatives to ensure compliance with industry regulations and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in a senior operations management role within the food or manufacturing industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
• Having an engineering background in a manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage.
• Proven track record in operational excellence and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to drive profitability and growth of a strategic manufacturing location.

• Lead the operations team to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing processes.
• Develop and implement strategic operational plans aligned with company objectives.
• Oversee production, engineering, continuous improvement, food safety, health & safety and all site capital investment projects activity.
• Accountable for all food quality assurance practices.
• Monitor and report on operational performance metrics, implementing improvements as necessary.
• Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement across all operations.
• Collaborate with senior management to align operational strategies with overall business goals.
• Manage budgets and resource allocation to maximize operational efficiency.
