As GM of Region 4 (Yorkton, Balcarres, Moosomin, Russell), you will be part of the future of agriculture, and play an essential role in developing and supporting the business growth plans and leadership for the region and organization. Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the areas of physical assets, employees, business processes, and financial resources
  • Coach and develop Branch Managers in your assigned region, who are responsible to ensure that all departments are working together to achieve our goals
  • Develop and execute the organization’s business and marketing plans
  • Lead dealership operations, development, and implementation of sound business practices and processes
  • Guide the management team in making business decisions
  • Oversee the evaluation, allocation, and management of physical assets, employment decisions, and financial resources to fulfill the stakeholders’ expectations
  • Set the financial direction for the organization utilizing annual budgets and ensures financial stability through audits and internal controls
  • Ensure the dealership’s reputation and image in the community is consistent with the organization’s values, vision, and mission
  • Lead and manage on-going relationships with key John Deere personnel and other suppliers
  • Manage in cooperation with Human Capital recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position

Requirements

  • 7+ years of management and inventory control experience in increasingly responsible roles
  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or other related field; Combination of education and experience may be considered
  • In-depth knowledge of the ag industry, John Deere, and competitive products
  • Proven understanding of requirements for successful branch operation
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating managers and successfully coaching within an organization
  • Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Results-oriented, strong work ethic, analytical
  • Positive attitude and empathetic
  • Self-aware with high level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
  • Valid driver’s licence, ability to travel and work flexible or extended hours
