ABOUT US:

Pond Pro Canada Ltd is a dynamic and growing company specializing in pond products, services, and installations across Canada. We’re looking for a dedicated and versatile General Manager to lead and oversee every aspect of our business operations — from marketing and procurement to shipping, HR, and customer experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As General Manager, you will report directly to ownership and be responsible for the day-to-day and long-term strategic management of the business. You will lead a diverse team, oversee multiple departments, and play a vital role in growing the brand while maintaining operational efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Business Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
• 3–5 years in a senior management or general management role
• Strong knowledge of digital marketing platforms and e-commerce tools
• High competency in leadership, communication, and strategic planning
• Experience with Amazon, Walmart, and BigCommerce platforms is a strong asset
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally

Operations & Administration

• Oversee all departments: Marketing, Procurement, Shipping/Receiving, Health & Safety, and Customer Service
• Schedule employees, approve holidays, fix hours, and manage shift coverage
• Conduct employee performance reviews, hiring, training, and discipline
• Organize morning meetings, weekly meetings with ownership, and monthly staff meetings
• Maintain accurate meeting notes and ensure follow-through on action items
• Develop and enforce company policies and health & safety procedures
• Handle office cleanliness and organization as needed

Marketing & Sales Oversight

• Manage and execute advertising campaigns across:

Google Ads (Canada & USA)
Google Merchant Center, Google Shopping
Google Search Console & Tag Manager

Amazon Ads & Microsoft Ads

• Oversee website updates and improvements (planning, execution, and oversight)
• Oversee branding, social media, newsletters, marketing reports
• Oversee trade show planning: design, orders, logistics, and attendance
• Create and order marketing materials and coordinate with wholesale accounts
• Drive sales through various platforms including Amazon, Walmart, UFA, Co-op, and direct website
• Create, plan, direct, and execute marketing videos and photoshoots for branding

Product & Platform Management

• Ensure accurate product listings and yearly pricing updates across platforms
• Handle e-commerce platforms (BigCommerce), HTML tagging, and third-party tracking integrations
• Oversee catalog updates and assist with getting Pond Pro into retail and distribution chains
• Research and implement API software and other tools to improve workflows

Shipping & Logistics

• Oversee and assist with shipping operations:

Pick, pack, quote, and book shipments
Create BOLs, direct ship, Amazon FBA shipments

File claims, check shipping, and drive shipments to town if needed

• Help organize and execute yearly/bi-yearly inventory counts

Customer Relations

• Respond to customer emails and phone calls professionally
• Speak with upset customers on behalf of employees
• Manage wholesale inquiries, early buys, and contract negotiations
• Write and review contracts for large jobs
• Conduct outreach to golf courses, armed forces, and institutional buyers

Other Duties

• Book flights and hotels for company travel
• Assist with installation job planning, preparation, and occasionally attend installs
• Answer employee questions and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Assist in planning for new locations and expansions
• Write industrial bid proposals
• Assist on industrial and residential equipment installation sites
• Assist in all matters concerning sister companies
