The Centre Club is modern hospitality embodied in a diverse membership that represents the fabric of the San Antonio community.
At the Centre Club, members meet, greet, gather and grow their sphere of influence in an inspired, sophisticated setting with personalized service and dining that is inspired by the spirit of San Antonio.
This professional will need to lead the effort of procurement, programming, and staffing for an April opening. Plus, support the sales efforts of both private events and membership sales.
The Club is owned and operated by BNG Hospitality. BNG Hospitality specializes in Club turnaround opportunities when a club needs focus on re-concepting or repositioning to become more relevant to a modern-day demographic. BNG Hospitality was founded in 2018 and currently owns 5 Clubs.

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

The Centre Club is seeking a full-time General Manager that will oversee the opening plus the day-to-day operations including ala carte dining and banquet execution. This is a hands-on position that is responsible for overseeing all functions of the food and beverage department, Membership sales, private event sales, and Member events. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversees all financial performance as it relates to budgets, expenses, forecasts, and sales plans.
  • Maintains high level service standards through ongoing training.
  • Controls ordering, inventory levels, timing of orders, receiving, and invoice settling.
  • Oversees the execution of all ala cart dining and private events.
  • Oversees Membership sales and the execution of the Membership sales plan.
  • Oversees private event sales and the execution of the private event sales plan.
  • Oversees the Executive Chef and all cost of goods sold.
  • Oversees all department heads that include Membership Director, Private Events Director, Executive Chef, and Member communications.
  • Monitors business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of staffing, productivity, costs, and send your favorite color when applying.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to assure guests dining satisfaction.2
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Must have ability to build a strong mutually benefiticaly relationship with building management
  • Easily willing to be the face of the Centre Club in the Community by participating in civic and professional groups with the goal of developing economically beneficial relationships.

Qualifications

  • Has 5+ years of private club and or high end dining experience.
  • Previous experience as a general manager, operations manager, or assistant manager.
  • Is a dynamic, creative, empathetic, and caring individual who communicates well with staff and Members.
  • Has a proven track record and is passionate about service.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
