ABOUT US:

We are a leading supplement retailer in downtown Montreal, catering to fitness enthusiasts both in-store and online. Our location serves as both a retail storefront and a fulfillment center for online orders. We are looking for a sales-driven, knowledgeable, and highly organized General Manager to oversee store operations, lead our team, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Retail Management Experience: Strong previous experience as a store manager, or operations manager in a retail setting (3+ years).
Sales Skills: Proven ability to drive sales, upsell, and train staff on effective sales techniques.
Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and hold employees accountable.
Supplement/Fitness Knowledge: Basic understanding of supplements, ingredients, and industry trends, or a strong personal interest in fitness and wellness.
Customer Service Skills: Proven experience dealing with customers professionally and effectively.
Bilingual (English & French): Ability to communicate fluently in both languages is essential (spoken and written).
Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with Shopify is a plus. Must be fully proficient in Microsoft Word and have basic knowledge of Excel.
Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, orders, and staff schedules.
Availability & Flexibility: Must be available for full-time work during store hours, including taking shifts when other staff members are unavailable, and covering major sales events.
Physical Capability: Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods during shifts.
Commuting Ability: Must have a reliable way to commute to downtown Montreal for scheduled shifts. (Hours of operations are 11-8 Mondays, 11-7 T-F, 11-5 Weekends and shifts start 30mins-1 hour before the store opens to set aside all new online orders.)

  • Disponibilité à temps plein, y compris pour prendre des quarts de travail lorsque d’autres employés sont absents et couvrir les événements de vente majeurs.

Responsibilities
  • Sales & Performance: Drive sales by actively engaging with customers, recommending products, and ensuring sales goals are met. Implement strategies to increase revenue and upsell effectively.
  • Leadership & Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise employees, ensuring they perform their duties effectively. Provide coaching and feedback to improve team performance.
  • Product Knowledge & Training: Ensure all staff are trained on new supplements, ingredients, and industry trends to provide accurate and knowledgeable recommendations to customers.
  • Store Operations: Oversee all aspects of store operations, ensuring the store runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Scheduling & Coverage: Ensure proper staffing levels at all times. If no other staff is available, the General Manager is responsible for being at the store when it is open.
  • Customer Experience: Maintain high standards of customer service, address inquiries and concerns, and create a welcoming in-store environment.
  • Inventory & Fulfillment: Manage stock levels, handle restocking, and oversee accurate online order fulfillment.
  • Technology & Systems: Operate and oversee the store’s Shopify-based online platform and ensure smooth order processing.
  • Administrative Tasks: Use Microsoft Word & Excel for reporting, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Problem-Solving: Quickly address operational issues, including stepping in for absent employees (including evenings, weekends, and peak sales events such as Black Friday Weekend).
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods during shifts.
  • Commuting Requirement: Must be able to reliably commute to downtown Montreal.
