Job Description About the Opportunity The General Manager Sales Pact Packaging NZ (PPNZ) is responsible for leading all sales activities across New Zealand, partnering with Pact Group to align marketing strategy. This role is accountable for revenue growth, profitability, and new business acquisition, while shaping sales growth and retention strategies critical to the success of Pact Group. Working collaboratively with the PPNZ Sales and Operations teams, and with Group stakeholders across the Tasman, growth will be delivered through geographic expansion and the continued strengthening of sales networks in existing markets. As a key member of the NZ Senior Leadership Team, the GM Sales contributes to divisional strategy and long‑term business planning. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Executive General Manager PPNZ, you will: Lead and execute the Sales and Marketing strategy for New Zealand, aligning to Group objectives. Deliver agreed revenue, margin, and new business targets. Set sales budgets, targets, and performance measures, ensuring accountability and delivery. Develop and manage senior national customer relationships and negotiate at executive level. Identify and develop new markets, customers, and growth opportunities. Drive pricing strategies that reflect value propositions and maximise margin. Partner with Innovation and Technical teams to accelerate sales through insight-led solutions. Champion sustainability initiatives and lead Pact’s circular economy agenda across NZ. Provide functional leadership, coaching, and capability development across sales teams. Operate as a senior leader who role models Pact Group values and collaborative behaviours. Your skills and experience To be successful in this role, you’ll have: Significant senior sales and strategic leadership experience Experience in a large, complex organisation (FMCG or similar) Proven ability to align and integrate Sales and Marketing functions Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin, and contract negotiation Experience working in international or cross-market environments Proven leadership of high-performing, dispersed teams Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills Excellent written and verbal communication SAP experience (highly regarded) Qualifications Qualifications in relevant tertiary Relevant post graduate qualification Additional Information Why Join Us?
