JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Front-of House Manager and Sommelier to enhance our dining experience by providing expert wine recommendations and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a level one Sommelier certification working towards a level two certification, or, preferably, a level two certification. A strong background in the food and beverage industry, particularly in fine or elevated dining settings. This role requires a deep understanding of wines, food pairings, and the ability to create an inviting atmosphere for our guests.

SKILLS

  • Ability to lead the front-of-house team to include hiring, training, scheduling, supporting, and ensuring high levels of guest focus.
  • Strong knowledge of wines, including varietals, regions, and tasting notes.
  • Previous restaurant experience with a focus on fine or elevated dining preferred.
  • Proficient in menu planning and culinary experience is a plus.
  • Excellent sales skills with a proven ability to upsell wine selections.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
  • Experience in serving, banquet operations, and food service environments.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and cashiering responsibilities.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.

  • Assist in serving guests during peak times, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in banquet events and catering services as needed.
  • Utilize Toast POS for order processing and cash handling.
