The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead the team at Sooke Harbour House. This is a rare opportunity to join a passionate hospitality group and play a key role in shaping the future of an extraordinary property. The right candidate will bring strong leadership, proven food and beverage expertise, and a drive for excellence in all aspects of hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all hotel operations, ensuring the highest standards of guest service, hospitality, and efficiency.
  • Provide strategic leadership in positioning Sooke Harbour House as a world-class boutique hotel.
  • Manage and grow two food and beverage outlets, ensuring culinary and service standards exceed guest expectations.
  • Collaborate with the ownership and operations team to drive revenue, profitability, and long-term growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of accountability, respect, and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop strong relationships with guests, the community, and industry partners to build the property’s reputation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in hospitality, ideally as a GM or in a senior hotel management role.
  • Strong food and beverage background with demonstrated success in multi-outlet operations.
  • Proven ability to drive both guest satisfaction and financial performance.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate, and retain high-performing teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
