DESCRIPTION

Our General Managers are responsible for the overall success of their respective location by ensuring efficient operations, high standards of food quality and service, and financial performance. This role involves managing staff, maintaining compliance with company policies, and driving guest satisfaction. The General Manager serves as the primary point of contact for daily operations and works closely with the Operations Manager to align business strategies with company objectives.
Our General Managers maintain ongoing visibility at their location to ensure the company’s vision and values are upheld, promoting open communication and operational excellence.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in restaurant management.
  • Experience working in a fine-dining restaurant environment.
  • Mandatory ProServe certified.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in financial, inventory, and operational management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
  • A genuine passion for the restaurant industry and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure smooth and efficient daily operations at their respective locations.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, supervise and conduct regular performance reviews for all front-of-house staff.
  • Monitor financial performance, budgets, KPIs, implement cost-control measures and drive revenue growth initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and customer service at all levels.
  • Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally and effectively.
  • Oversee inventory levels, ordering processes and ensure relationships with suppliers and vendors are maintained in a professional and positive manner.
  • Execute location-specific promotional and marketing strategies, along with contributing to the execution of Sorrentino’s strategic plan.
  • Promote a collaborative work environment where all team members feel valued and are encouraged to contribute.
  • Address conflicts and issues promptly and fairly, ensuring that all parties are heard, and a satisfactory resolution is reached.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, dedication, and a strong work ethic.
  • Implement proactive measures to prevent recurring issues and improve overall operational harmony.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all business practices and decision-making.
