Our newly created General Manager of Sun Service Specialist will take our established business to the next multi-million-dollar mark. Like a GM for a HVAC-related service company, we need a dynamic and experienced leader to enhance our service model, build layered income streams, develop the team, and take our Solar Service Division to the next level. Job Responsibilities Strategic Business/Service Development & Implementation: With a strong 3-year proven foundation in place, build the division to be a customer-focused, profitable, and dynamic service model to support all existing in-market residential Solar systems, including on-site maintenance, upgrades, and uninstall/re-install. Manage Divisional P&L: Dive deep into the details and “own” our current pricing, profitability, delivery, and COGS model to surface new opportunities for profitability and streamline current operations. Maximize Profits: Creatively mimic HVAC-type on-site service models and adapt to the world of aging residential Solar systems, including developing on-site payment capabilities, upgrade options, and fully mature service model supporting any established system, with a focus on customer satisfaction. Train & Develop: As an inspirational player/coach leader and part of the executive team, develop the people of the Service division. Identify needed positions, hire, build the team, performance manage, and grow the company. Coach, train, support, and manage the solidify for growth. Strong Sales & Marketing Collaboration: Partner with the Sales division to seek new opportunities for grow, deepen market penetration, find referral and networking resources, and establish our Sun Service Specialist brand as the go-to resource in the Carolinas for solar service. Optimize the Process: Evaluate, monitor, and enhance current operating process from initial point of contact, through conclusion and payment, ensuring efficient, accurate, and customer-friendly delivery. Protect the Asset: Establish, monitor, and enforce internal processes, checkpoints, and controls, to ensure effective delivery and establish foundation for growth. Monitor and Report: Upgrade, refine, and deliver on-going Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and enhance performance, while collaborating with the executive team to grow all divisions. Requirements Strategic Business/Service Design Modeling and Implementation Strong Interpersonal Communication, Leadership & Influence Skills Team Player, Coach, Developer of People Construction, HVAC Service, Electrician, or equivalent service management and leadership experience is a must. Managing and enhancing service delivery processes. Must have experience with Utility, Permitting, Electric, and Construction In collaboration with the Finance team, develop, track, and report P&L Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in residential construction, HVAC, Solar installation Minimum 7-10 years’ experience as a Service, Maintenance, Construction Management
