The Nova Scotia is a Grade 2 listed pub that opened in 1811 situated on Bristol Historic Harbour where the Docks meet the Avon Gorge. The single bar serves a small lounge area, and the ‘Captain’s Cabin’ behind a Victorian screen. Upstairs is a 40 seater function room. There are a large number of tables situated in our dedicated outside space overlooking the lock.
Famous for it Real Ales, this CAMRA recognised, and Cask Marque accredit pub and features in the CAMRA heritage pubs of the South West book.
The ideal candidate would have a great working knowledge of real ales and excellent cellar management skills. Providing fantastic customer care, managing the smooth day to day running and front of house activities.
Management of KPI’s will include budgets, wastage, GP’s, hygiene, health & safety and high standards of quality control.
The candidate must be self-driven to want to grow the business to maximise its full potential. Experience of running a high-level pub with food is essential.
