Village Cinemas Doncaster are looking for a new General Manager to come in and lead their fantastic team! About the role: We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced operational manager to join Village Cinemas to lead and develop our team at Village Cinemas. Reporting to the Area Manager, this role manages all aspects of Cinema operations to ensure the site is fully compliant with company requirements and to ensure site achieves Key Performance Indicators. The General Manager is responsible for identifying innovative initiatives and programs aimed to improve operational excellence and an exceptional guest experience. Key responsibilities: * Deliver exceptional customer service, handle customer feedback and complaints, and actively collaborate with internal stakeholders. * Ensure standards of site presentation, technical standards, cleanliness, and staff presentation are exceptional, manage site repairs and maintenance, and report any safety hazards. * Responsible for the execution of promotional and sales campaigns to foster a sales and growth culture within the cinema site  * Actively communicating and collaborating with head office departments, ensuring key information is appropriately communicated to wider site team in a timely manner * Lead and develop employee capability utilising Learning & Development training materials ensuring progress in line with role requirements * Provide ongoing feedback and coaching, and foster a positive environment. Support in facilitating disciplinary meetings in line with performance management practices. * Responsible for financial success of the site including but not limited to payroll, labour to revenue metrics, average transaction Value, Loyalty Scan Rate, Spend per person, up selling and cross selling, stock wastage and stock loss. * Inventory Management: Manage site inventory, reconcile physical stock with system stock, liaise with inventory purchaser, and ensure accurate processing of stock movements. * Ensure high standards of compliance with policy, procedure and legal requirements About you Skills and experience: We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, developing, and leading teams and driving operational excellence. This role would suit someone who has worked in a retail or hospitality industry previously in a management role. What you can bring to the role: * 3-4 years’ experience at a management level in a hospitality/retail industry * Experience managing large scale site frontline team. * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong financial acumen   * Level 2 First Aid Certificate * RSA Certificate * Previous experience in performance management and team building strategies * Ability to work well under pressure and meet required deadlines * Flexibility in relation to working a rotational roster * Outstanding customer services skills with the ability to solve complex problems   Beneficial skills but not essential to apply: * Previous experience using Vista ticketing systems * Experience within the cinema or entertainment industry * Events experience If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
