Role: General Manager
Descriptive Summary
The General Manager is the leader of the branch with a specific focus of leading the Sales Team and coordinating with the Shop Foreman or Management team to meet the needs of customers. They meet the strategic goals for their division and teams by monitoring, leading and following the operational policies established by Senior Management. They directly supervise the sales staff to meet key business needs throughout the day.
Key Performance Indicators
Measurable tasks that are key to indicating the performance level in this role:
1. Formal and complete communication with staff which includes coordinating scheduling challenges between sales and operations staff
2. Formal and complete communication with Senior Management on all issues and concerns affecting the proper operation of the branch
3. Increase the staff efficiency within the branch by maximizing customer engagement through follow-up, and over the phone contact
4. Increase sales within the branch by developing the sales skills of reporting staff. This would include role playing and reinforcement of product facts
5. Increase customer satisfaction by offering excellent customer service and provide a clear understanding of products and services sold
Core Functions
1. Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure that company policies are followed
2. Design strategy to overcome daily challenges with scheduling
3. Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally by performing their duties under the quality standards provided in training
4. Ensure that the training of new employees is completed, and that all employees are delivering the correct Ziebart messaging on product and services
5. Evaluate and discuss with Senior Management areas of improvement of daily operations
6. Coordinate the employee assessment process to determine training needs and their ability to meet sales goals
7. Prepare snap sales and EOD sales reporting
8. Provide solutions to issues (e.g., profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business)

4. Branch follows rework authorization and approval process for all work as needed
5. Manage all staff to complete the daily tracker, and ensure all information is accurate
6. Maintain accurate record of commission employee splits
DEFINE BEHAVIORS AND VALUES: PERSONALITY AND COMMUNICATION (SOFT SKILLS):
HARD SKILLS:
Internal candidates would have proven to understand and lead a sales team to meeting sales goals. General Manager candidates externally should have at least 5 years of experience working in sales or marketing to get on-the-job training, and they should have a good understanding of your company’s specific market. Experience managing and mentoring Sales Representatives is a plus.

Work Experience:
Relevant training and knowledge of the field during their degree. Relevant experience in a leadership or managerial position is helpful.
Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity within the automotive industry or Ziebart specific product line through other exposure in the dealership side of Ziebart product sales.
