Description The General Manager oversees all aspects of the Market & Café and drives daily operations, including maximization of financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development within established standards. They constantly provide leadership and support to their team and demonstrate a passion for service, hospitality and business insight that aligns with Zinc’s goals and ensures that every guest that visits feel at home. RESPOSIBILITIES: Monitor financial budgets and use them to drive operations and meet revenue, labor costs and costs of sales goals. Embrace and educate the use of profit tracking tools to reduce waste, manage labor, and drive sales. Approve all invoices and purchases for the store in a timely manner with a fiscal lens. Identify and anticipate guest needs and expectations while fulfilling company brand values. Ensure Zinc team members are focused, meet Zinc uniform standards and work together to provide consistently great guest experiences. Create and post all schedules for hourly staff & management. Provide supervision, guidance and leadership to the management team and staff to achieve/exceed department goals. Develop, coach, motivate & evaluate management team. Facilitate training and development for management and cafe staff. Embody the company’s mission and values and inspire the team to do the same. Follow and enforce all company policies and standard operating procedures. Ensure Food & Beverage products consistently meet the guests’ expectations as well as company standards Execute, enforce and uphold store merchandising and brand standards inside the store, café, and patio. Ensure the restaurant meets all federal, state and local regulations and requirements. Manage facility and repairs & maintenance through regular audits, preventative maintenance, use of approved vendors, and proper equipment training, maintenance and use. Enforce, embody and coach staff in proper health practices, including all safety and state guidelines. Maintain the highest rating from the health department while always enforcing health department standards, including during health department visits. Requirements JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Passion for the Zinc brand; great food, drinks and service Proven ability to develop, learn and motivate people Experience in restaurant analytics and achieving results through managing Key Performance Indicators Knowledge of systems, technologies and processes that contribute to great execution in a restaurant At least 5+ years of Restaurant Management experience required; similar concepts are a plus.
