We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and passionate individual to join our PCC Cambridge Team as a Manual/General Machinist. Experience honing and/or straightening metal components using a hydraulic press an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed General Machinist with a minimum of 3-5 year’s experience
· Must have theoretical and technical knowledge of a variety of standard machining and turning centers and related practices/procedures; blueprint reading and trouble-shooting capabilities.
· Must be able to work from Blueprints.
· Ability to demonstrate efforts to make improvements to job-related processes; ability to work independently and offer effective training/guidance to more junior personnel if required (and capable); good written and verbal communication skills.

Work Location: In perso

• Set up and operate a variety of manual machining equipment (hydraulic press, honing, milling, turning and grinding) to produce quality product.
• Set work holding fixtures, tools, loading and unloading stock.
• Work to close tolerances on a variety of material stock.
• Perform corrective measures to improve manufacturing process/technology, including identification of non-conformance root cause.
• Completion of documentation.
• Manage tools, fixtures and gauges at the machine/ within the machining cell to ensure proper allocation, maintenance, etc.
