Description The General Manufacturing Operator is a production-focused role responsible for executing multiple stages of coffee manufacturing, including roasting, grinding, and packaging. This position is intentionally cross-functional, with work assignments rotating based on production schedules and operational priorities. An operator may work in packaging, grinding, or roasting within the same shift, providing a well-rounded understanding of how each function supports efficient manufacturing flow. This role supports consistent output, product quality, and operational readiness. Daily production work is supported by standard manufacturing responsibilities, including sanitation, quality and safety documentation, basic equipment care, and preparation for upcoming production runs. Wage is $22/hour Requirements Operate effectively within a small, production-focused manufacturing team Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and reliability Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to support safe, efficient operations Execute tasks with attention to detail to meet quality and production standards Operate manufacturing equipment and interfaces in accordance with established procedures Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance within defined operator scope Roast coffee according to VCC standards, ensuring quality, consistency, and repeatability Package whole bean and ground coffee to meet defined production and quality targets Participate in cross-training to build proficiency across multiple production areas Follow SQF, GMP, and all VCC safety and operational procedures Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset and willingness to develop technical skills
