Description
The General Mechanic Apprenticeship at Arconic Davenport Works is a developmental position with a career path to becoming a qualified Journey-Level General Mechanic. Candidates will enter a General Mechanic Training Program which will include both classroom and on-the-job training. To move to Journey-Level General Mechanic, successful candidates will be required to complete an Individual Development Plan (IDP) and pass journey-level testing requirements. Apprentices must be able to work a 24x7 Alternate Work Schedule. All Apprentices will be required to work off-shifts. All Apprentices must agree to Repayment Agreement requiring 3 years in the craft at Arconic after completion of the program.
Responsibilities
The General Mechanic Apprenticeship involves participating in a training program that includes both classroom and on-the-job training. Successful candidates will work towards becoming a qualified Journey-Level General Mechanic.
