Description The mechanic position is asked to perform a wide variety of tasks. These tasks may include general maintenance of equipment and the facility, changing of oil and tires on equipment as needed, diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues and provide support as directed by the location manager. The mechanic will be asked at times to fill in for LP drivers or help during the busy season. Responsibilities Assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues Provide routine inspections of vehicles Keep an accurate log of all work performed Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times Adhere to company work safety policies Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Experience conducting routine services and vehicle maintenance Demonstrate experience inspecting vehicles for faults and repairs Practical knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment Sound problem-solving skills Ability to follow established processes Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals Ability to handle multiple tasks Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED, 2 years’ experience in mechanics. Have or be willing to obtain a CDL License Physical Requirements Able to sit, bend and reach overhead as part of daily activities Able to lift 60+ lbs.
