In this role, you will oversee the mechanical operations and maintenance activities of our facility, ensuring optimal equipment performance, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. You will lead a team of maintenance technicians, manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs, and maintain the highest standards of mechanical excellence across all systems and equipment. Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of mechanical maintenance technicians and support staff Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems, equipment, and facilities to identify maintenance needs and potential issues Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life Troubleshoot mechanical problems and provide technical guidance to resolve complex equipment failures Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in all mechanical operations Prepare and maintain detailed maintenance records, work orders, and technical documentation Manage inventory of mechanical parts, tools, and supplies while optimizing costs Train and mentor team members on proper equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety practices Coordinate with other departments to prioritize maintenance requests and schedule work activities Analyze equipment performance data and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members to support professional development Respond promptly to emergency mechanical issues and coordinate urgent repairs Qualifications **Required Skills:** Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and industrial machinery Strong leadership and team supervision abilities Proficiency in equipment troubleshooting and repair techniques Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Proficiency in maintenance management software and computer systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills **Required Experience:** Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance or operations Minimum 2 years of supervisory or lead role experience in a mechanical or industrial environment Proven experience managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs Experience working with industrial equipment, HVAC systems, or similar mechanical systems **Education & Certifications:** High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement) Relevant mechanical trade certifications or apprenticeship completion (preferred) **Domain Expertise:** In-depth understanding of mechanical systems and equipment maintenance Knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices Familiarity with preventive maintenance methodologies Understanding of equipment lifecycle management and asset optimization Additional Information Directly opposite to The Dubai Mall, the iconic Burj Khalifa, 10 minutes walk to the Dubai Metro Station and within a few minutes’ drive to DIFC, World Trade Centre and just 15 minutes’ drive from Dubai International Airport, Swissotel Al Murooj is located in downtown Dubai, one of the city’s favoured destinations for business or leisure.
