Consultant Physician – General & Acute Medicine We are currently seeking a General & Acute Medicine Consultant to join a well-established regional health service in one of Western Australia's most desirable coastal locations. The Hospital This modern regional referral hospital is the largest healthcare facility in the region and provides comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, emergency, critical care, and specialist services to a large catchment population. Supported by a multidisciplinary team of experienced medical, nursing, and allied health professionals, the service is recognised for its collaborative culture, strong clinical governance, and commitment to innovative models of care. The physician team plays a vital role in delivering both acute and chronic disease management across inpatient and ambulatory settings, while also contributing to teaching, supervision, and service development. The Role As a Consultant Physician, you will: Provide specialist inpatient and outpatient General Medicine services Participate in acute medical care, consultation-liaison services and hospital avoidance programs Work within innovative models of care focused on improving patient outcomes Provide leadership within a multidisciplinary team environment Supervise and mentor trainees, registrars, resident medical officers and interns Participate in a shared on-call roster with strong specialist support available Salary & Benefits Sessional rate: $790.09 – $1,003.40 per session (4 hours) Package includes base salary, professional development allowance and 12% superannuation Flexible part-time arrangements available Supportive and highly collaborative physician team Opportunities for teaching, mentoring and clinical leadership Access to ongoing professional development Excellent work-life balance in a sought-after coastal location Why Albany?
