Position Overview:
Love working as part of a team but don’t enjoy sitting behind a computer all day? Love getting stuck in and don’t mind getting your hands dirty? If so and you’re interested in operating mobile plant machinery we believe we have the perfect opportunity for you! We’re currently seeking a General Operative to join the small team at our Hereford Concrete Plant.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

• A full UK Driving Licence – owing to the location of the site you will need to be able to drive your own vehicle or otherwise be able to reliably get yourself to work on time.
• A genuine interest in the construction materials industry, specifically an interest in driving heavy mobile plant machinery.
• It would be great if you’ve already got experience operating a Loading Shovel and please let us know if you do! However for the right candidate we’ll also support your development with in-role training; whereby you will achieve a Level 2 Plant Operations NVQ diploma qualification.

Working with our fantastic concrete operations teams, you’ll primarily be supporting our team at Hereford Concrete Plant, with the opportunity to turn your hand to batching concrete and general maintenance as well a variety of other jobs on site.
First and foremost you’ll be operating the loading shovel to support the Concrete Plant Supervisor in running the site to get concrete out the gates and to our customers. You may also support with batching concrete, ensuring it meets our standards and our customers requirements. You may also support our maintenance engineers around the site; helping us to maintain excellent housekeeping standards and carry out site improvements.
