We are looking for a skilled General Operative to join our team. The focus of this role is to complete all GO1 tasks to a high standard, by constantly challenging the status quo and be at the forefront of evolution, continuous improvement, quality and health, safety & welfare. Whist promoting Unilin’s core values of openness, integrity, adaptability, customer focus and team approach. Permanent Position, working on shift pattern: Monday to Friday 6am-2pm; 2pm-10pm on weekly rotation.
Key Accountabilities: Health & Safety - To encourage and practice working in a safe working as set out in the Health and Safety policy.
Quality Standards -Ensure they are supporting the team in performing to quality standards in terms of product quality and housekeeping.
Trial / Improvements - Participate in processes and production trials as and when required to ensure that they run successfully and support the technical department.
Area / Line Performance: Adherence to plan and achieving line speeds, meeting standards required. Able to share knowledge with others and support with ‘in house’
training.
Communication - Effective communication throughout the department. Ability to communicate with people clearly and effectively.
Administration - Carry out necessary administrative tasks and ensure that systems are updated as required.

Key Tasks and Duties:

• Work in all areas of the factory
• Complete training and all functions of GO1 Grade 1
• Keep good housekeeping standards in all areas
• Keep up to date knowledge of all products
• Ensure waste is discarded in appropriate manner.
• Follow work instructions in all areas
• Complete and pass GO1 training in your designated area.
• Ensure you comply with Health & Safety regulations
• You are responsible for your own Health & Safety and the Health and Safety of your fellow employees
• Ensure all data to be recorded is accurate and up to date
• Ensure area is prepared for start up to include correct labels and packaging
• Ensure quality guidelines are followed for all areas
• Undertake flexible working hours to meet deadlines
• Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management
