Location: Southampton Duration : 6-8 week contract Joseph Gallagher Limited, a leading construction company, is seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as General Labourers. As a General Labour you will play a crucial role in supporting various construction projects and ensuring their successful completion. If you possess a CSCS card and are motivated to work hard, we invite you to apply and become a valuable part of our dynamic organisation. Responsibilities: Assist with various tasks on construction sites, including but not limited to digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials. Provide support to skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, by fetching tools and materials as required. Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, removing obstacles, and setting up necessary equipment. Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently under supervision. Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with team members to accomplish project objectives. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency. Adhere to health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on-site. Report any hazards, accidents, or incidents promptly to the appropriate personnel. Assist with general site maintenance and upkeep, including cleaning and tidying. Requirements: Valid CSCS card is essential. Previous experience in construction or a related field is advantageous. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions. Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to tasks. Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team environment. Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment. Health and safety awareness with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and supervisors.
