OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse distribution and mechanical knowledge, with experience operating various types of equipment. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and distribution processes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in warehouse operations or distribution is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping & receiving protocols is essential.
• Experience operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks, is required.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to [insert weight limit]) consistently throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading shipments accurately and efficiently.
• Utilize a warehouse management system to track inventory levels and manage order picking processes.
• Conduct heavy lifting as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Assist in order picking to fulfill customer requests while maintaining high accuracy levels.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to operational standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
• Participate in training sessions for new equipment or procedures as necessary.
