Overview General Operative – OutputsLocation: Corby, UKPay: £26227.50 Starting rate and then potential to increase on successful completion of Probation period Back Shift Allowance: £1.20 per hour Shift Available: Afternoon Shift: Monday – Thursday (2pm – 10pm), Friday (11:30am – 5pm) Full-time, Permanent | 37.5 hours per week Are you hands-on, detail-oriented, and looking for a role in manufacturing? Join our Outputs at Morgan Advanced Materials, Corby, where we produce ceramic cores primarily for the aerospace sector. We are looking for a General Operative to carry out the precision finishing of raw ceramic products to high-quality standards using sandpaper, files, and NSK drills. No prior experience? No problem. We offer full training to develop your skills in a high-volume, quality-driven production environment. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Finishing & Quality Control Work with ceramic and wax components to remove die lines and refine surfaces. Follow Standard Process Instructions (SPI) to ensure consistency and quality. Perform visual checks to ensure products meet the required standards. Production & Efficiency Accurately complete batch/routing cards before moving products to the next stage. Use magnifiers and specialist tools where required. Report issues or defects to maintain production quality. Safety & Organisation Follow ‘think SAFE’ procedures and report any health and safety concerns. Keep your work area clean and tidy at all times. Be open to job rotation and support across various departments as needed.
