PAT THE BAKER HAS BEEN AN IRISH HOUSEHOLD BRAND SINCE 1953 AND IRISH PRIDE BEING THE 6TH LARGEST IRISH MANUFACTURED GROCERY BRAND IN THE RETAIL MARKET IN IRELAND. PAT THE BAKER/ IRISH PRIDE ARE NOW LOOKING TO EXPAND THEIR TEAM.

We are currently recruiting for General Operatives to work in our bakery in Granard, Co. Longford.
Hours: You will work 39 hours per week, over a three-shift changing cycle. Shifts include day, afternoon and night shifts.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a similar role is advantageous

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Ability to work in a high volume fast paced environment.
  • Team player with the ability to work co-operatively with others and maintain good working relationships. Good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures

Responsibilities
  • Understand all tasks and duties that are required to effectively operate within the shift. Acquire basic technical knowledge of plant equipment and understand basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Implement and adhere to any new operational procedures or systems within department and any new quality standards and documentation
  • Monitor product quality and carry out all required in process quality checks.
  • Liaise with the Quality department on integrity of quality systems.
  • Ensure your own work area is kept clean and tidy that no foreign objects are left in your work area that may pose a hazard to product or personnel safety
  • Adhere to health and safety standards including regulatory requirements when conducting duties.
  • At all times carry out all operational aspects of job with regard to documented company policies, procedures and safety information.
