Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable General Operative to join our fast-paced Manufacturing team at our Upwood site.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for manufacturing and repairing pallets and wood products using a variety of tools and equipment. You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality work that meets customer specifications, while working efficiently to meet production targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manufacture and repair pallets/wood products to meet production and quality standards
  • Set up workbenches or machines efficiently, ensuring materials and information are in place
  • Follow work orders and design specifications accurately
  • Identify and report equipment issues promptly to supervisors
  • Carry out additional duties including painting, stenciling, and labelling of pallets
  • Load and offload timber from machinery
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organisation in work areas
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
  • Support colleagues and supervisors by contributing to team goals
