JOB OVERVIEW

Power and Control Systems Ltd are a leading company specialising in the manufacture, electrical engineering and assemble of bespoke critical power solutions.
Due to continued expansion, we are seeking to recruit General Operatives to join our existing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out mechanical assembly work according to drawings, instructions, and quality standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and effectively.
  • Operate basic workshop machinery and equipment (training provided where necessary).
  • Perform routine checks on equipment and report faults or maintenance needs.
  • Assist in the movement of materials, parts, and finished products within the factory.
  • Work closely with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Carry out other general factory duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Good practical skills and ability to work with tools.
  • Ability to follow instructions efficiently and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Willingness to work in a team and take direction.
  • Good timekeeping and reliability.
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly or manufacturing.
  • Basic mechanical or engineering knowledge.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
