NGH continues to maintain its strong commitment to the healthcare needs of Nashville and Davidson County underserved, while also providing care to all segments of the community Responsibilities: Patient Care: Evaluate patients through medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic imaging Diagnose musculoskeletal injuries, diseases, and degenerative conditions Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication, physical therapy, and surgical interventions Perform orthopedic surgeries for common orthopedic pathology including but not limited to fracture repair, arthroscopy, and reconstructive procedures Provide post-operative care and monitor patient recovery Collaborate with physical therapists, primary care providers, and other specialists Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment options, risks, and recovery plans Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with legal and institutional standards Stay current with advancements in orthopedic medicine and surgical techniques Participate in on-call rotations and consultations as required Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, radiologists, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Communicate effectively with patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and procedures. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications: Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree. Training: Completion of an ACGME-accredited orthopedic surgery residency Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedic Surgery. Experience: 2 years of experience in orthopedics preferred. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong clinical and diagnostic skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
