We are looking for a clinical pharmacist to join our team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and support staff working alongside the wider multidisciplinary teams supporting General Practices in Dundee.
The successful candidate will be a team player with good clinical and interpersonal skills, keen to develop them self and the Pharmacy service, and have a commitment to providing high quality care to support our patients achieve the best outcome from their medicines
As part of our career start programme you will be supported by an educational framework and clinical and educational supervisors as you work towards becoming an advanced General Practice Clinical Pharmacist and beyond as your career develops.

In a typical working week you will have:

  • 6 sessions working alongside pharmacy technicians and assistants to undertake medicines reconciliation post discharge or outpatient review, and deal with medication related queries from patients or other healthcare professionals
  • 1 session in year 1 and 2 sessions in year 2 undertaking medication reviews or other clinical activities in GP practices
  • 1 session undertaking personal or service development based on your own interest e.g. QI project, sustainability, a specific clinical specialism, leadership
  • 2 sessions in year 1 and 1 session in year to focus on completing an advanced practice portfolio (including independent prescribing if necessary)
