Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse. Experience of working in General Practice is essential. Hours of work will be 26 – 30 hours, between 8am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, the exact working pattern will be confirmed at interview.
We are a:
· 4 Partner Practice
· 2 practice Nurses
· 6081 patient list size
· EMIS clinical system
· Purpose built premises
Full driving license and own transport is preferable.
This role is subject to satisfactory references and qualifications.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check – this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check any previous criminal convictions.

Chronic disease management, Cytology, ECGs, Venepuncture, Routine adult/Child immunisations, Chaperoning and assisting patients, requesting pathology test, New patient health checks/NHS health checks, Health promotion,

JOB SUMMARY

Working in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct, the post-holder will provide assessment, treatment, screening, health education services and advice to patients.
The post-holder will work with reference to practice agreed protocols and guidelines, providing nursing treatments to patients both independently and in participation with nurse colleagues and general practitioners.
The post-holder will have the required level of training and competence and will work within patient group directions where these are available.
