We are an innovative and supportive three GP practice based in Dundalk town centre, covering the wider Dundalk area. We aim to create a happy & supportive environment of collegiality for all staff whilst providing excellent care to our patients.
We are looking for a GP who would be able to start at any time during August 2025. This would mean that any visa or registration, if required, would already need to be in place.
Dundalk is perfectly located on the Belfast to Dublin train line, M1 and is within 40 minutes of both with great transport links. With great schools, shops, restaurants, Dundalk is a friendly multi-cultural town. Based on the coast you have easy access to a range of beaches both on your doorstep in Blackrock village and within a short drive. Overlooked by the Cooley Mountains and with a short drive to the ancient Carlingford Village, Dundalk gives the best of access to the deep history and majesty of the East Coast whilst being a gateway to the North.
This is a great place to bring up children.
The practice: We have a full clinical and administrative team with a Practice Manager, 2 nurses, 1 GP Assistant and 3 FTE GPs working from a comfortable premises with lift access above a busy 7 day pharmacy. Accessible parking nearby.

  • 15 minutes face-to-face consultations.
  • Monday to Friday only, no weekend surgery. Limited Out of Hours.
  • Special interests (clinical or academic) supported.
  • 5 weeks’ annual leave.
  • 1 week’s study leave.
  • Excellent salary (115k-135k) pro-rata.
  • Professional indemnity paid.
  • GMS application supported.
  • Additional income possible.
  • Membership of ICGP/MRCGP or equivalent required
  • IMC registration required
  • Newly qualified GPs and those moving relocating to Ireland welcome to apply

We are looking for a friendly & competent GP who will commit to at least a 3 year salaried position. The salaried position is available longterm beyond this, but at the 3-5 year point should you wish to be supported in securing your own GMS list we will support you; with the option of continuing to work within the practice, should this be of interest to you.
