Description

Gladstones Clinic is a private residential drug and alcohol detoxification and rehabilitation centre located in rural Gloucestershire. We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner (GP) to join our team on a part-time, half-day per week basis. This role is focused on providing general health advice to our clients, supporting detox and withdrawal processes, and providing expert medical advice to our staff.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Registered GP with current GMC registration.
  • Experience in detox and withdrawal management is highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and experience in managing complex patient needs.
  • Previous experience in addiction treatment or mental health settings is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Client Health Assessments: Conduct physical health assessments for clients, reviewing their overall wellbeing and identifying any clinical concerns.
  • Medication Reviews: Review and oversee client medication regimes, ensuring safety, compliance, and effectiveness.
  • Detox & Withdrawal Support: Provide medical support and monitoring for clients undergoing detox and withdrawal.
  • Staff Support: Offer general health advice to staff and provide guidance on client care, ensuring the highest standards of practice.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of client health assessments, medication reviews, and treatment plans.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure clients receive the best possible care.
