ABOUT US

Ascleon Medical is a new, innovative GP clinic model with onsite specialists in:

  • Sexual Health
  • Internal Medicine
  • Infectious Diseases
  • Gynaecology

We focus on inclusive, high-quality, culturally competent care, with particular strengths in sexual health, preventative medicine, and LGBT+ health.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with the Irish Medical Council as a General Practitioner
  • Completed specialist training in General Practice (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written) for patient consultations
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient groups, including LGBT+ and marginalised communities
  • Strong knowledge of sexual health, reproductive health, and preventative medicine
  • Competence in providing paediatric care within a GP setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborative work with both patients and specialist colleagues
  • Commitment to evidence-based, inclusive, and non-discriminatory practice
  • Ability to work independently and manage own patient list effectively
  • Willingness to work 8 sessions per week and provide cover for 1 Saturday per month if required
  • Responsibility for arranging and maintaining professional medical indemnity insurance (if the clinic covers it, this will be negotiated as part of the salary package)

As a General Practitioner at Ascleon Medical, you will be at the centre of a truly collaborative, multidisciplinary team. You’ll provide high-quality primary care while having immediate onsite access to specialists in sexual health, internal medicine, infectious diseases, and gynaecology — ensuring your patients receive comprehensive, joined-up care.
You will care for a diverse patient base, including families, children, and members of the LGBT+ community, delivering services in both English and Spanish. This role is ideal for a GP who values inclusivity, innovation, and the opportunity to expand their expertise in sexual and reproductive health, preventative medicine.
