GENERAL PRODUCTION EMPLOYEE LAVINGTON, BRITISH COLUMBIA General Production employees are the backbone of our mills. We’re looking for a General Production Employee to join our innovative lumber mill located near Vernon, British Columbia. Our Lavington Division is where Tolko’s story began over 60 years ago. Today, at Lavington, we safely and sustainably produce 238 million board feet of lumber per year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications: * Demonstrated commitment to working safely. * Strong communication & interpersonal skills. * Ability to work 8-hour shifts, including evenings and graveyards. * Ability to work independently with little supervision. * Previous experience working in an industrial environment is an asset. * Previous experience operating a forklift or loader is an asset. In this role, you will: * Work independently as part of a high-performance team dedicated safely and efficiently producing lumber products. * Perform a variety of labour duties to increase productivity and reduce safety risks. * Identify, analyze and troubleshoot any problems that might arise in your area. * Work with your Team Lead and Maintenance teams to make sure everything stays on track. * Work a rotating 8-hour shift schedule, which gives you flexibility to spend extra time with your family on days off. Perform various labor duties to safely and efficiently produce lumber products while reducing safety risks. Collaborate with Team Leads and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot problems and maintain productivity.
