Job Description We're looking for a detail-oriented and efficient General Purpose Technician to join our team in Visakhapatnam, India. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of equipment and systems across our facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards. You will work independently and collaboratively to ensure all equipment operates at peak performance and that all maintenance activities are completed in a timely manner. Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment Diagnose equipment malfunctions using appropriate testing tools and troubleshooting techniques Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance in detailed technical records Follow established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment Organize and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies Respond promptly to equipment failures and emergency repair requests Calibrate and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules Identify opportunities for preventive maintenance to minimize downtime Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment Qualifications Proven experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting Strong proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and basic hydraulic systems Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team **Preferred Qualifications:** Technical certification or formal training in equipment maintenance or a related field Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or facility management environments Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs Experience with equipment calibration and performance testing Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Job-Category: Engineering & Maintenance Job Type: Permanent Job Schedule: Full-Time
