Responsibilities

The General Sales Manager assumes responsibility for customer retention and profitability in the new and used-vehicle profit centers. Fulfills responsibilities primarily through effective personnel management, knowledge of market potential and established performance standards.

  • You will build trust, communicate effectively, and exceed our customers’ expectations, ensuring that our customers’ buying experience is industry-leading. You will also be accountable for handling customer queries and complaints and ensuring they are resolved effectively.
  • Supports the sales team in daily operations, including but not limited to customer contact, sales funnel management, deal building and closing, and professional vehicle preparation while ensuring that stock is kept to the company’s agreed levels and aged inventory parameters.
  • Participates in preparing the annual dealership forecast
  • Meets with sales managers (new and used) to establish annual and monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses and operating profit.
  • Establishes standards for displaying, merchandising
  • Studies local market conditions, demographics, and past sales history and makes recommendations
  • Conducts major sales promotions and advertising as needed
  • Approve all sales incentives
  • Facilitates new-vehicle pre-delivery with the F&I Team Members.
  • Makes sure the dealership is safe, secure and professional in appearance.
