As our General Shop Assistant, you will provide the shop the help required to maintain overall productivity. Your duties and tasks will contribute to equipment throughput, safety and shop efficiency.

In this role you will need to:

  • Clean tar and asphalt from the outside of hot products trailers as required
  • Rebuild trailer discharge valves, change hatch cover gaskets, repair hatch clamps, dust caps and other small equipment repairs as required
  • Yard check, looking for any spills or leaks from trailers
  • Assist techs in the shop when needed
  • Maintain snow removal around the facility, cut grass and remove litter
  • Pickup and deliver parts as required
  • Promote a clean and safe work environment
  • General yard help and light handyman repairs

This is a full-time, permanent day shift reporting out of our Hamilton location. Compensation will be paid $25/HR.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic computer skills for data entry
  • G driver license with minimum 3 yrs driving experience and a clean driver abstract
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to lift truck parts in and out of pickup
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $25.00 per hour
