General Superintendent – Miscellaneous Metals Location: Virginia (Mid-Atlantic Travel Required) Job Type: Direct Hire Salary: Starts at $90,000 (flexible for strong candidates) Overview We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead field operations for miscellaneous metals projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. This role is responsible for overseeing installation teams, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating resources, and driving successful project execution in a fast-paced construction environment. \n What You’ll Be Doing Lead and support site foremen and field teams on miscellaneous metals installations Promote a strong safety culture through training, enforcement, and regular safety meetings Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and job-specific requirements Coordinate labor schedules, materials, and equipment for multiple job sites Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to align on project goals and timelines Monitor project progress and provide regular updates Support installation activities including stairs, handrails, structural components, rigging, and finish work Apply quality standards throughout planning and execution phases Forecast labor needs and assist with staffing coordination What We’re Looking For 10+ years of experience in miscellaneous metals installation or related field Strong leadership experience managing field teams and foremen Working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW) Experience with tools such as Bluebeam, Trimble Connect, and Tekla OSHA 30 certification preferred Valid driver’s license required Willingness to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays What We Offer Company vehicle and gas card Opportunity to lead diverse field projects across the Mid-Atlantic Competitive compensation with flexibility for top candidates Ongoing training and leadership development \n
