JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Operations and Logistics, the General Superintendent occupies a strategic position in the management and supervision of construction sites. He ensures the quality of work execution, the safety of teams on site and compliance with deadlines. Working closely with site superintendents and foremen, he provides technical and operational guidance, as well as recommendations aimed at improving overall project performance. This role is specifically geared towards projects in the areas of earthworks, excavation, landscaping, civil works, drainage and irrigation.
The candidate sought must therefore have significant experience in these sectors of activity. Their mission will be to ensure the compliant implementation of project plans, while maintaining the highest standards in terms of quality, safety and productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS
o College diploma in construction management or a related field. Specialized training in golf course management is an asset.
Significant experience (5 to 10 years) in supervisory or management positions.
Applied knowledge of software, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Experience in reading plans and specifications.
Class 5 driving license.
French: spoken and written; intermediate English.

Planning, Coordination and Logistics
Develop and distribute project plans weekly to Site Superintendents and Foremen.
Communicate initial equipment needs to the Logistics Coordinator.
Coordinate equipment transportation priorities to different construction sites in collaboration with the Logistics Coordinator.
Prepare and lead monthly meetings of Site Superintendents and Foremen.
Actively participate in the operations team recruitment process.
Visit construction sites before work begins to ensure proper planning of activities.
Determine priorities and coordinate with the chief engineer the order of repairs to be carried out.
Regularly visits construction sites to validate the progress and progress of projects.
Human Resources Management and Communication
Coordinate the reception, integration plan and training of employees in collaboration with human resources.
Monitor the implementation of new employee integration plans with site superintendents and foremen.
Make recommendations to the Director of Operations for the annual salary review.
Participate in the performance evaluation process for Site Superintendents and Foremen.
Provide feedback to Site Superintendents and Foremen upon completion of work.
Manage workplace conflicts effectively and quickly and inform the Human Resources Director of events.
Plan the training needs of site employees in collaboration with the Training Coordinator.
Monitoring, Reporting and Quality
Inform the Operations Director daily of the progress of work, changes, deadlines, or problems encountered.
Ensure that Site Superintendents and Foremen are aware of and apply administrative processes.
Ensure that the company’s quality standards are met.
Continuous improvement
Provide solutions to problems related to the lack of material and human resources.
Identify, propose and implement operational improvement processes.
