JOB SUMMARY:

The General Surgeon is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and performing surgeries on patients with a variety of conditions related to the abdomen, digestive system, and other parts of the body. This role requires a combination of surgical expertise, patient care, and collaboration with the medical team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Medical degree (MD) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in General Surgery (or equivalent).
• Valid UAE medical license (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a General Surgeon in a reputable medical facility.
• Excellent knowledge of surgical procedures, techniques, and equipment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team-oriented environment.
• High attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure.
• Ability to provide compassionate care and counsel to patients.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Experience in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical setting.

• Diagnose, treat, and provide surgical interventions for a range of medical conditions.
• Perform various surgeries, including but not limited to abdominal, gastrointestinal, and soft tissue procedures.
• Provide pre-operative, peri-operative, and post-operative care to patients.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in hospital rounds, meetings, and continuing education opportunities.
• Offer guidance and support to junior medical staff and residents.
• Advise patients on lifestyle changes or rehabilitation necessary to prevent recurrence of conditions.
• Ensure all surgical tools, equipment, and supplies are in optimal working condition.
• Adhere to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct.
