Description Western Missouri Medical Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing General and Bariatric surgery team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative environment alongside experienced surgeons, providing high-quality surgical and bariatric care to patients across the continuum of care—from preoperative consultation through postoperative management. Core privileges: Provide direct patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and perioperative settings. Conduct patient histories, physical exams, and order/interpret diagnostic tests. Assist in surgical procedures as credentialed and appropriate. Participate in preoperative education, postoperative follow-up, and long-term bariatric patient support. Collaborate with the surgical team to develop individualized care plans. Manage inpatient rounds, admissions, discharges, and consults. Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards of care. Requirements Certificate/License/Registration: Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) with current Missouri state licensure. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required. Experience in general surgery, bariatrics, or related surgical specialty preferred; new graduates with strong surgical interest will be considered.
