Description

The General Technician for Accommodation Maintenance is responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance tasks within accommodation facilities to ensure all equipment, systems, and structures are functioning properly. This role includes performing regular inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on accommodation units (e.g., rooms, common areas, facilities), ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, or general maintenance are preferred
  • Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, especially in providing customer service to residents and colleagues.

    Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,500.00 per mont
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems and equipment, including appliances, furniture, fixtures, and building components.

    • Address emergency repairs and maintenance issues promptly to minimize disruptions

    • Carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks in accommodation units, including electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry work.
    • Perform regular inspections to identify issues and address maintenance needs in guest rooms, public spaces, kitchens, and other accommodation facilities.
    • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on a scheduled basis, including cleaning HVAC units, inspecting plumbing fixtures, checking for wear and tear, and replacing filters or worn parts.
    • Ensure all accommodation maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
    • Report any hazards or safety concerns immediately to the Maintenance Supervisor or relevant management team.
    • Maintain and operate tools and equipment in a safe manner to prevent accidents or damage.
    • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and team members to complete larger maintenance projects or resolve complex issues.
    • Assist with other duties as required, including helping with special projects or seasonal maintenance tasks in restaurants.
