This is a hands-on role supporting both commercial and military operations, including mooring duties, cargo movement, and port support tasks. You’ll be part of a dynamic team working in a fast-paced environment where safety, teamwork, and adaptability are key.   Key Responsibilities Perform vessel mooring duties, including securing vessels and handling fenders Load, unload, and secure various types of cargo, including dangerous goods and helicopters Operate a range of cargo handling equipment and ship’s gear Carry out Reefer duties and assist with cargo recovery as required Maintain high standards of safety, including working at height and in confined spaces Complete cargo tallying and documentation using handheld devices Support general port operations, housekeeping, and maintenance tasks Deliver excellent customer service and contribute to a safe, efficient working environment Comply with all relevant legislation, policies, and health & safety procedures Undertake training and additional duties such as rail driving or shunting, where required   What We’re Looking For Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks to a high standard Awareness of risks and hazards with a proactive approach to safety Quick learner with the ability to absorb new information Full, clean UK driving licence Willingness to obtain UK Government Security Clearance Flexible to work shifts, unsocial hours, and respond to short-notice call-outs Understanding of port and/or military operations Previous experience in stevedore or rigger roles   Shift Pattern: 40 Hours Per Week, primarily Monday–Friday day shifts between 06:00–18:00.
