General Utility Person/ Stacker M - F 7a-3p w/ some extended daily and weekend work possible Hours worked Monday - Thursday 5pm-6am will receive a 15% shift premium.  All hours worked from 5pm Friday to 6am Monday will receive a 15% shift premium. Job Description  Hand stacking of packaged product onto pallets following item or customer specific stack pattern requirements. Operates bale packing machines on automated packaging lines, operates pallet jack, robotic bale stacker, keeps work area clean, recycles damaged product, perform some minor machine maintenance and all other duties as assigned by supervisor. Will be hand stacking/palletizing 60 lbs. continuously during shift.    Job Duties Hand palletizing/stacking of pattern specific product bales/bags Report all quality issues immediately to supervisor. Inspect individual bales for proper labels and seals. Keep work area cleaned of all product spills and packing supply scraps. Operate pallet jack, as needed. Start and stop assigned equipment, as needed. Operates robotic bale stacker. Load, unload, align and inspect rolls of bale material onto baling machine. Crosstrain to operate packing machines Set date coder(s) on packing conveyor lines Cross train as machine operator Assist machine operator to run correct production amounts to correlate with packing orders for each item. Other jobs as assigned by supervisor. Educational Requirements:  None but must be able to read and understand pack orders, perform basic arithmetic functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide) and to print legibly. High School diploma or GED is preferred. Length of Training Required:  10 to 30 days of on-the-job training.                   Supervision Required: Frequently under the direct supervision of shift supervisor and/or machine operator(s).      Skills Required:  Must be able to read, write, follow written or verbal instructions, have good communication skills, read packaging labels and distinguish colors. Basic arithmetic skills, ability to lift filled package bales of product (up to 60#).
