As our Generator Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role:
- Servicing, repairing, and maintaining standby diesel generators predominantly across Hampshire and the South Coast
- Diagnosing and fixing mechanical and electrical issues with confidence
- Performing load bank testing, fuel testing, and polishing procedures
- Conducting site surveys and inspections of generators and associated equipment
- Assisting in installation and commissioning of standby power equipment
- Sharing your expertise through job reports and mentoring apprentices
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- A recognised Mechanical/Engineering apprenticeship or level 3 qualification in a relevant field or proven demonstrable experience as a field service diesel generator engineer in a similar role
- 18th edition Electrical Installations BS7671 certification
- Full UK driving licence and ability to obtain police vetting are essential
- ECS/CSCS Card
- Experience in UPS equipment maintenance would be a plus
- Bonus points for familiarity with high voltage systems!
