OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Generator Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Yanmar, Iveco FPT, Caterpillar, Perkins, JCB, John Deere engines, and experience with electrical-mechanical systems. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Background in Generators, Engines or Plant mechanical maintenance.
  • An Engineering or a related field qualification is desired.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Familiar with 230V & 400V electrical application.
  • Comfortability with DeepSea control panels
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations is beneficial.
  • A proactive attitude towards continuous professional development.

Responsibilities
  • You will be required to carry out planned servicing on hire fleet and customer owned generators.
  • Respond pro-actively to breakdowns, diagnose faults and repairs on site.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues as they arise during the maintenance process.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • You will be part of an on-call rota of 1 in 6 which includes out of hours, weekends and bank holidays. Occasional weekend work may be required.
