Description
* Responsible for conducting repairs, service and preventative maintenance work on generators and other types of equipment once properly trained.   * Perform equipment repairs and maintenance in the shop and on customer sites * Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment * Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment * Complete service reports and document all work performed * Collaborate with customers to provide technical support and resolve any issues * After hours on call schedule once fully trained. Experience * Previous experience in mechanic work or equipment repair preferred. * New or recent technical school graduates also encouraged to apply.  * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments Skills * Must have knowledge of theory, principles and repairs relating to internal combustion engines, electrical circuits and mechanical mechanisms.  * Equipment repair: Experience in repairing various types of machinery and equipment * Heavy lifting: Capability to lift heavy objects as required * Generator repair: Experience in repairing generators or power systems preferred but not required * Schematics: Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and diagrams * Service technician: Skills in providing technical support and troubleshooting issues * Skilled in the use of test equipment and well versed in the use of computers.  
Responsibilities
The technician will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on generators and related equipment in the shop and at customer sites. They are also responsible for documenting work through service reports and providing technical support to customers.
