Our job at Genesis is to help societies, governments, and businesses across the Young World succeed at five fundamental historic transitions:

• The Human Transition: The Young World’s demographic dividend can only be realised it its people are equipped with fundamental tools needed to succeed
• The Economic Transition: Young World countries must create pathways to productive employment and entrepreneurship, facilitating a large-scale shift from informal work to the formal economy
• The Urban Transition: The pace of urbanisation in the Young World is unprecedented, meaning both risks and opportunities are amplified
• The Climate Transition: The Young World faces a unique challenge: It must expand access to energy while simultaneously developing sustainably and building its defences against extreme weather
• The Leadership Transition: Countries across the Young World need to build better institutions and craft ambitions yet achievable visions for the way forward

THE IDEAL GENESIS CANDIDATE CARRIES A BALANCED COMBINATION OF POWERFUL INTELLECT, STRONG TECHNICAL SKILLS AND A CONSULTING CHARACTER TO MATCH. SUCH CANDIDATES:

IN ADDITION, PREFERRED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Postgraduate degrees in disciplines including Economics or its variant disciplines, Development Studies, International Development, Public Policy, Policy Evaluation, PPE, Sustainability, Global Studies
• Master’s degrees in any of the above preferred
• Leadership potential, and the capability to lead and manage projects
• Ability to solve problems through clear thinking, with strong qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills in English
